Hacked: Google iPhone hack
Google says iPhone security flaws let websites hack away for years
Apple has a better reputation than most when it comes to the security and privacy its devices offer, but that reputation took a hit this week when Google detailed how visiting a website was enough to hack an iPhone.
As TechCrunch reports, Google’s Project Zero security analyst team, along with the Threat Analysis Group (TAG), discovered a collection of compromised websites earlier this year capable of hacking iPhones. All the iPhone user had to do was visit one of the sites for an attack to be attempted. If successful, the website would install a monitoring implant on the device.
